About

Our founder venues

Five established independent UK wedding venues came together in 2018 to build the platform they wished they had: Dewsall Court in Herefordshire, Elmore Court in Gloucestershire, Iscoyd Park in Shropshire, Pennard House in Somerset and Wasing Park in Berkshire.

They still run their venues on Hostology today, hundreds of weddings and events a year between them.

Our founder venues are not case studies or launch customers: they are the reason the platform exists, and their event businesses (different in size, in county and in how they handle catering) are what keeps it honest.

Meet the five

Hugely successful events businesses in their own right, each of them powered by Hostology and each of them represented in how it works.

  • Dewsall Court: an ivy-clad stone house behind mature trees, with a gravel sweep in front.

    Samantha Vaughan and Jane Robinson

Samantha runs Dewsall Court with her family. Along with their team they host weddings, parties, courses and retreats in the Herefordshire countryside.

    • Herefordshire
    • Around 50 events a year
    • In-house catering
  • Elmore Court from the air: the Georgian house in its parkland, a copper beech to one side and fields to the horizon.

    Elmore Court

    Anselm Guise

Set in the Gloucestershire countryside, Elmore Court is a beautiful destination for weddings, parties and corporate gatherings, and an estate with a serious rewilding programme behind it.

    • Gloucestershire
    • Around 130 events a year
    • In-house catering
  • Iscoyd Park: a red-brick Georgian house with a pillared porch, clipped topiary and a gravel drive.

    Philip and Susie Godsal

Phil and his family restored a Georgian family home and turned it into the stunning venue it is today, hosting weddings, parties and corporate gatherings on the Wrexham and Shropshire borders.

    • Shropshire borders
    • Around 130 events a year
    • In-house catering
  • Pennard House from the air at golden hour: the house with its conservatory and a marquee on the lawn, ringed by conifers.

    Pennard House

    Harry and Georgina Dearden

Harry and Georgina run Pennard House in the breathtaking Somerset countryside, hosting weddings, parties, courses and retreats: the founder venue that works with an external caterer.

    • Somerset
    • Around 50 events a year
    • Catering by an external partner
  • Wasing Park: brick-and-timber barns either side of a castellated archway with glazed doors.

    Wasing Park

    Joshua Dugdale

Set in the Berkshire countryside on the Wasing Estate, Wasing Park makes for a truly breathtaking venue. Josh and his team run the busiest diary of the five, across weddings, parties, courses and retreats.

    • Berkshire
    • Around 150 events a year
    • In-house catering

“We now spend much more time with each client, meaning we can offer an even more personal service. This is what we have been waiting for since we opened in 2010.”
