Catering

Catering that lands in the kitchen ready to cook

Build your menu packages, let the host and their guests choose, and hand the kitchen a clean list per event. Dietaries and allergens against every named guest. No more Thursday-before spreadsheets.

Food and drink for one event, day by day: each meal's menu with its dishes, quantities and allergen tags.

Meal choices and dietaries

Hostology lets venues build reusable menu packages, attach them to events, and collect meal choices, dietaries and allergens directly from named guests via the same link they use to RSVP. The kitchen gets a printable list with course counts, dietary flags and table numbers, updateable up to the venue's lock date.

From menu to chef sheet

  • Menu packages you build once and reuse

Set your seasonal menus, price them per guest or per package, define the choices a guest can make, and reuse the whole package across every event that season.

  • Guests choose their own meal, at their own pace

From the same link they use to RSVP. Meal choice, dietary, allergen, all against a named guest and a table.

  • Ready for the kitchen, not the spreadsheet

Meal count by course, allergen list, VIP dietary flags. Printable, exportable, editable up to the point you lock it.

  • Works whether you cater in-house or outsource

Send the finished list to your in-house team, or export it to the caterer running the event.

  • Food and drink for one event laid out day by day, with the "Edit food and drink item" panel open on the champagne reception menu: canapés, champagne and sparkling water.
  • The host's view of the welcome drinks: a champagne reception of canapés, champagne and sparkling water, with allergen and dietary tags on each item and the menu's price and total.

Common questions

We use an external caterer. Does this still work for us?

Yes. The system captures the guest information the same way. You export or share the finished list with your caterer in whatever format works for them.

Can we handle allergens properly?

Yes. Guests flag allergens themselves, against their named seat, and it flows through to the kitchen list and the table plan.

What if a guest wants something not on the menu?

You choose whether to allow custom requests, and if you do, they land in the venue view for approval before they go to the kitchen.

Do we still control what goes onto the final list?

Yes. Nothing is finalised until the venue locks it. Guests can update up to your lock date, and after that any change flags for approval.
