This week we were joined by a host of experts joined by our hero campaigners, bristling with useful wedding sector updates.
The UK Wedding Task Force updated us on their promising talks with the government and practical challenges the wedding sector is facing.
Tamryn Settle from Love My Dress and the #whataboutweddings campaign gave us some insights into the campaign’s talks with Ed Milliband and Lucy Powell. Tamryn also gave us some positive results from a recent survey ran by Love My Dress which showed that despite COVID ruining plans, couple’s are still focused on postponing weddings rather than cancelling them. You must watch to hear more of her insightful research.
Emma Hla from Coco Wedding Venues also gave some fascinating insights into current trends that engaged couples are showing. Emma shared data to show what couples are considering wedding wise in 2022, information about geographical trends in couples venue research as well as the shift in types of weddings that are now being considered.
Finally, we were joined by Will Johnson from Weatherby’s Hamilton who gave some much-needed advice on the meaning of the recent UK Supreme Court ruling that business interruption insurance must be paid out after COVID-19 losses.
